National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University has long been esteemed as the pioneering leader in the computer and information education in Taiwan. Many courses in related departments and institutes have covered the advanced hardware or software techniques, theoretical studies, and applications. As early as the 80's, the researches in information management have influenced the electrical and computer engineering, information science, management science, industrial engineering and financial management areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To respond to the wide challenges from all fields, the master program of the Institute of Information Management at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University was proposed in 1987 and officially established in 1989 which became the first postgraduate study of this field in Taiwan. Due to the program's success, a Ph.D. program was initiated in 1993 and began running in the following year, also becoming the first Ph.D. study of this kind in Taiwan.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
